I've split several of these whilst doing my control arm bushings. You can get generic ones from GSF or elsewhere online, are they any good?

What do people do in this situation? I don't think I can replace the ball joint on the control arm without a whole new arm.

I had this problem on my B Class. Looking closely at the split boot I found a Mercedes part number. Mercedes don’t supply it separately but a Google search revealed that Febi do. Got one from eBay for £12 as opposed to £200+ for a new arm.

Ta. I've just realised I can't get the bush out with my crapp tools so it's a new arm for me anyway. I'll still need boots for the track rod ends but they seem easier to find.

Some times if you can get arm at right price it’s just as easy to change it anyhow.
