Hi Folks,

Was thinking of replacing the balljoints on my C230K as its about coming to that time when replacement will be required.

My question is, should I go with the Original MB balljoints or is there something better for the same price or lower ?

Got bog standard ones fitted by my MOT place (not at my request!) and Olly noticed instantly that they were poor when he put it up on the ramps.

When mine eventually go again I'll be going for originals, they're not that expensive from the stealers are they?

Yep - go for MB quality, around £20 each from the top of my head.

I would get the LEMFORDER ( part of ZF group-- of gearbox fame) ones from euro car parts. They used to be OEM for Merc in the good old days.;) My last "genuine" MB ones were TRW as far as I remember which is an American owned conglomerate including Joe Lucas and Kelsey Hayes possibly due to Chrysler influence in choice of supplier-don't know?

Lemforder or Febi Bilstein from either Eurocarparts or Gsfcarparts are good quality if you don't insist on dealer supplied parts.
