Hello all.

After each start the engine, at intervals to 35-45 seconds, note the response of the system BAS.

Once, for a very short time, with different intensity - from the sound of the response to a sharp breaking.

Effects noted in both - the movement and stay.

The lights on the dashboard ABS, BAS does not light up.

What I've done so far is:

- Checked charging voltage of 13.3 V, ACC battery - new - 2 months.
- All contacts that are relevant to the ESP/SPS/BAS control module - N47-5, are checked and sprayed with a contact spray;
- Changed the brake light switch;
- Changed the BAS diaphragm travel sensor;
- Checked all voltages and switching, as described in the Star Finder - WebETM;
- Diagnostics with Star Diagnos - no errors.

Please advice on what else to check to fix the annoying problem.

The car is S210 E300 Turbodiesel wdb2100251a598975

Thanks in advance for answers

Probably some sensor is working but misbehaving? So no errors but during the operation it gives misreadings at that will cause brakes to trigger. Steering angle sensor? Lateral Accelerations sensor?

Is the cruise working? Rotational speed sensors may also sometimes give false peaks due to corroded ring or wrong distance of the sensor. Then cruise will disengage if this happens...

The car has gone through a complete test with Star Diagnosis.

Service engineer my friend, and turned very, very close attention to the car.

-Errors in the system BAS,ABS,ESP no.
-Cruise-control works perfectly.
-While driving no problems with ESP - which occurred in a problem with the sensors or ABS rings.

The problem occurs once - 30-40 seconds after starting the engine.

Regardless of whether the car is in motion or parked outside my garage.
Regardless of whether the car has been moved before, or cold.
Regardless of the direction of the steering wheel.

PS Please be excused for my English - I use Google Translator

Do you mean the BAS system (emergency braking) (silent) or the ABS system (anti skid) (drumming noise).

If it is the ABS system the only thing that can trigger it is the rate of pedal application sensor in the servo.

The ABS could be triggered by a wheel sensor or reluctor ring.

Excuse my English, I'm drunk. :D

You meant BAS....

When I say BAS, I mean exactly and only exactly BAS.

System upon activation issue specific sound.

This sound can be heard in the BAS system test - a test for Star Diagnosis hear a special sound of the brake pedal pressed sharply and abruptly release. When I look at the pedal, he suddenly pressed alone, and suddenly back.

Unfortunately, this effect monitor on after each engine start.

I understand your humor, and willingness to help.

Welcome your constructive ideas - thank you.

And again - to be clear - the system reacts BAS despite my desire, regardless of whether the car is in motion or not - after each engine start - once after a 30 - 40 seconds!

The humour was aimed at me... :)

REALLY weird... :dk: (in addition, I have heard ABS doing things of it's own, never BAS)

Have you tried shut down the engine before BAS engages, and shortly after that start it again - how long it now takes before BAS action? Just hunting stupid idea that there is some capacitor or something which is not charged/will be charged after 30 seconds, and causes some not regulated voltage peak etc. which causes BAS to engage???? Only guessing here :o

It was one of the first things I changed.

Here it is.

The minimum time that I tested is less than 1 minute. No change.

I am the owner of a computer service and have an idea of how it looks capacitor needs to be replaced.

Soon dismantled and research unit N47-5.
Here it is - the first, far away from the windshield, block.

This is a block that manages systems ABS, BAS and ESP. Dismantled it and examine it carefully. There is no electrolytic capacitors - they just change the parameters over time. Also there is no any suspicious components, solder joints, tracks and contacts.
