BAS light

Hey All,

The BAS Light keeps lighting up on the dash. Any ideas on the cause of the problem??

I did read somewhere else in the forum that it might need the steering to be resetted, while standing still and car in idle, turn your steering to full lock position all the way left keep for 5sec and then on the full opposite lock for another 5 secs...
this might do the trick.

Otherwise do a search in the forum for BAS ... and it should come up

Most definately worth changing the brake light switch first, common problem on lots of Mercs and cheap to sort out, think they are about £12 each.

ive had this before on a w210 and it was the brakelight switch . I had it on my car now but i just left it and it went out, either it fixed itself or the bulb on the dash burnt out
