battery dies so often

My c240 first indicated malfunction restraint system then was not able to start. I changed battery then comeback to normal. This new battery is only a week old again the same problem restraint system and can't start the car battery down again. What drain my battery every now and then?

You need to get it on star to see what is not shutting down and thus draining the battery.

Your alternator may be faulty. As suggested above you need to get it checked out on a MB Star DIAGNOSTIC system. Any good auto electrician should be able to check the alternator output for you- may be a faulty regulator or brushes.

Hi nick/grober,

Am just coming back after long time, in fact my battery draining problem can't say is solved or not as I sent the car to a dealer diagnosed with MB star diagnostic system nothing found faulty however they parked the car for two days then battery down so they returned the car to me charge free as they could not solve the mystery.

The mystery is after I took the car I normally park it and after one or two days I start it and it's OK! Though sometimes I experience a weak start but definitely it will start. Am now planning to drive it for 1600km trip and park it for a week and see if it will ever come out of the sleep. However, neither the dealer nor myself has checked the driver and passenger seat modules as I have seen lots of comments in various forums that seat modules may be 100% causing the problem
