Battery in CD220CDi coupe.

How difficult is it to change the battery on these? i.e possible by someone ham-fisted? lol

This battery look OK?

Should be explained in owners manual.

Just remember wait half an hour (includes safety margin, CAN 'sleeps' after 6 mins) before disconnect/connect anything. Keep your keys away from the car. Voltage spikes are easily performed during the connections and they are harmful for (live) ECU boxes.

You can also feed voltage directly to the battery connectors from the jump starter/other battery (or connect them to the jump start point located in engine bay if there is one). This saves you about to norm memory seats, windows, steering angle. With W210 I have just disconnect battery, last time I fed the power with W211.

Just avoid sparks :rolleyes:

Edit: Oh, and I prefer Varta or Bosch. Whatever the brand is, ensure that outer dimensions of battery are same (or it fits to the 'cradle') and poles of the battery are right sided.
