So I started the day by looking at a few weather forecasts - no rain they said so my work began.
Snow foam with BH Auto Foam to begin with - also some BH Auto Wheel to remove the baked on layers of salt and brake dust I've acquired in this past week.

Then it was onto the claying stage - the car is covered in small specs of tar and it was taking ages even after a first past with a clay mitt then onto the bar it was hard work. I broke out the Autosmart Tardis (see i do use other products than BH!) and let that do its magic before going back in with the claybar.
As the car needs some minor paint correction I won't be using a ceramic coating just yet so I've settles on the Carlack Acrylic system Carlack 68 Sealant Kit - Clean Your Car as that makes white look very glossy and really brings out curves and creases which can be tough on a non metallic colour.
So I layed down the cleaner wax which needs 30-40 minutes curing time. Went to make a coffee and came out to find it starting drizzle. Straight off the cleaner wax and i'll have to come back to it another day. English winters eh?
:-(
Next up is reapply the cleaner wax and let it cure properly before building a few layers of the acrylic wax sealant up over the coming weeks. Ideally one coat every 24 hours - realistically one coat every time you wash it over the next few weeks.
