Hi Chaps,

I'm looking to add another set of locking wheel nuts to my car, anyone know of good ones i should look for ?

I've had alloys stolen off my BMW in the past so i want the best security i can get really, hence having two sets on the car.

Cheers

What model is your Beemer? E number? standard wheels?

Might have a set of bilsteins on the shelf at good money.

easyrog

if they get one set off they would get 2 sets off in not much longer.

if you do get another set get a different brand other than the MB ones to vary the head.

Oh and you might want to update the car on your profile so people know what car you need them for!

Cheers guys,

I'm looking to put an additional Set on my new c63 coupe, it has the standard merc locking nut at the moment, I usually add a second Mcguard nut but was interested to see if anyone else does this. It just make life that little bit harder for the b???????

Trust me I learnt me lesson years ago. My BMW had the standard BMW locking wheel nut, all four got stolen and when I carried out some research I found that ANYONE can walk into a dealer ship and buy all SEVEN locking nuts, and that's it.. According to my local MB dealer they have 32 keys so makes it a little more difficult but still possible.

Oh yeah, will update my profile too, cheers Alps.

When I bought my Alpina B10, it was running 19" Alpina wheels.

This was when 19" was large so I took the decision to make life difficult for any thieving fecker.

I bought a set of McGards Ultras - which have a rotating collar, to make life difficult when trying to remove them.

The ace up my sleeve was a I bought a set per wheel - so each wheel had 4 McGards Ultras and 1 BMW locking wheel nut, plus the locking hub cap.

Overkill?

Maybe - but for the sake of a couple of hundred bucks - the wheels were still on it when I sold it (although I took the bolts of and sold them separately...).

Stick with McGuards

Thatcham Approved - Super strong against attack, and against wear and tear!

I would not use anything else - Dealer lockers tend to be Mcguard or budget!

It is actually spelt McGards in case there are any cheap copies out there!

Yup McGuard - purple/white cases - rrp 32.99 per set of 4 (or 35.99 for the black ones)

Hi Pat, do these come in different shank lengths for different alloys? Thinking of a set for my w210 estate. Pretty sure it's still got origional alloys fitted, so can you tell if they'd fit by my reg X399 DDM?
Cheers,
Lawrence
