Best snowfoam?

Have a read of this little thread (the search function is a wonderful thing...)

My mates...

A detailer on you tube tested 5 or 6 foams. His verdict was a normal pressure washer removes more dirt than any of them. I use autoglym polar blast with decent results.

Polar blast here too. It is ok, smells nice and is easily available from Halfords etc.
It is on special offer everywhere too at the moment.

I don’t subscribe to the fancy snow foam gun unless you use Bilt Hamber that just isn’t very foamy. The Karcher one is more than capable of making foam that will cling for 10 mins which is all it needs to do.

Your question opens a big can of worms. Topic has been discussed ad-nauseum on other threads and forums.

A lot depends of how long the dirt has sat and been baked onto your car. No snow foam will move that. If you clean you car frequently and have a good protective coating, you will get better results.

Opinions are like assh0l3s - everybody has one, but I agree with what @OneForTheRoad has quoted.

I use snowfoam from BLACKBEARDSDETAILING.CO.UK as they ceramic coated both cars and I micro mit through the foam after a long powerwash.

Should add with anything like that Snow foam, APC's or fallout removers keep in mind the ambient temperature and dwell time.

Dwell time is important for the cleaner to do it's job if it's too hot then it'll dry and not work . If it's sprayed on and washed off in two minutes it won't work.

You kind of have to make the call on the mixing ratios too, if your car is heavily soiled mixed a wee bit stronger (5:100) if lightly soiled then reduce the concentration (1:100) with an optimum panel impact ratio of 4% from your equipment.

In the link that whitenemesis attached Lee covers all of this but do your self a favour and skip to near the end. :)

This is more complicated than I expected 😐

Go straight to Page 9 and have a read for yourself.

No it doesn't. Water alone will not be able to remove bonded contaminates and road traffic film from paint.

Think he was on about loose dust n that ... 👍

\Yes it would remove loose dust etc, but it then traps that dust in the fine crevices, scuttles, door jambs etc, that's why Foaming is a crucial part of your pre contact wash.
As the debate unfolds, many people will never be fully convinced about foaming and other prewash methods, Even in the Summer months. foaming prewash is very important before contact as its that fine gritty dust that causes a substantial amount of damage.

All I can say is this, if a pressure washer alone cleans a car and rids of traffic film and dust, then whoever said that, and whoever agrees must stink to high heaven and clearly only shower or bath with water, no soap or gel!
