I put a set of Pirelli P Zeros on a my clk 200 couple of weeks ago.
Much much better than the budgets that were on in terms of ride quality and noise, but I did feel a bit of a shimmy if I hit a bump on a bend.
Now running at 38/36psi and it seems better.
For your budget you should be able to get a set of Continentals or maybe some Michelins for a fraction more, both make very good tyres as used by MB from new
I have recently put 2 Nexen on the rear of my CLC, a good price and they appear to be quieter than the Continentals they replaced. Will have to see how they perform.

I have had both Continentals and Michelins on the CLK. Of the two my preference is for the Continentals - seem a little quieter. As for fitting I always use the local wheel refurb company (wheelworks). They seem to be the only ones that never damage the alloys. £10 a corner well spent
I got 4 Michelin Primacy from Costco 6 months ago, to be honest, the previous Falken ZE914's were cheaper and had more grip, I'll be moving back to Falkens when these are worn.
