Bissell or VAX spotclean (wet/dry vac)

I have Bissel SpotClean pro, it's actually very good( as long as you use their products) but it can get loud, i recommend some headphones on. You need patience with it, it's not a quick job, you need to spray that formula and let it sink in, agitate it a bit with the brush and then vacuum it) but in the end it's worth it and you clearly see the difference.

I also have the Bissel SpotClean Pro, I agree it is quite loud but as its only used occasionally the noise isn't to much of a concern. Extraction is very good if you follow the method that 'cristispot' describes.
The only issue that I have is the way the suction hose is stored on the machine, the radius of the curve is to tight causing the hose to split. I had to replace the hose even though the machine hadn't had that much use. It is now stored with a gentle curve on the hose which takes up more room but puts less strain on the hose.

Thank you for this thread and the useful link. Looking at one for myself 👍

I'm a little undecided. The Bissell was my initial inclination, but the volume issue and also the split hose is making me lean towards the VAX. I'm inclined to go to Currys or somewhere else to see them in person.

Karcher has a very good customer service. I had a problem with my k7 karcher. The gun developed a fault on the trigger and it was leaking pretty bad.

I contacted John Lewis as my pressure washer came with 5 year warranty and transferred my call directly to Karcher uk who literally sent out a replacement gun by post, no quibble.

All they wanted from me was to confirm the product serial number which was on a sticker.

Good customer care I reckon from both John Lewis and Karcher. I don't believe Karcher do spot cleaners though.

I found Vax spot cleaner at John Lewis, £99 delivered.

They have other delivery option too in case you needed it very urgently, click and collect from selected outlets Inc Waitrose and next day delivery.

Buying through John Lewis is reassuring, I agree. I also have the option of buying directly from VAX, though I haven't experienced that directly before.

I have bought direct from Vax on numerous occasion. The service and quality I’ve had, had been superb, but they seem to be having problems at the moment.

not bought a spot cleaner though so can’t comment on those..

I've got the SpotClean Pro, very pleased with it to be honest.
