For a number of reasons, I am thinking about going the Blaupunkt Travelpilot route.
I am going to combine the DIN format 5 CD changer http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product.asp?product=18610 with the Travelpilot E1 http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product.asp?product=20010
as this would solve the problems I have with the boot-mounted changer.
Can't really justify spending £££ on a Comand system and OEM changer, so this would be a nice and probably (?) quite good alternative.
As I am going to install it myself, I suppose the only real challenge is finding the speed-pulse signal - or is it already part of the DIN connector??
The input from anyone who have installed a Travelpilot would be much appreciated!
Oh, one more question: The Travelpilot E1 does not use DX navigations CD ROMs. What is the difference between DX and non DX discs? Which is most widely available?
Thanks guys!
