A bit of an update on my car.

So it turns out that changing the seal on a chain tensioner to fix an oil leak resulted in my blowing the engine entirely.

Thankfully I managed to find a replacement block and got it repaired again.

Great videos Najam, At the end of the second video you said your customer was OK to deal with the slight oil leak on the rocker cover himself.....

Are you sure ? Remember it was he who caused this carnage replacing the tensioner seal :p  ! Only Joking !

Haha! Surely can’t go wrong with a valve cover gasket?!

Then again that’s what I said with the chain tensioner! I’ll keep you posted!😂

My C55 with a M113 has 147000 miles on it, I have owned it for the last 30K miles . I will check out anything you have online regarding this engine . Thanks.

Great video, gutting for the customer but almost a relief it was caused by human error rather than a new M113K failure mode! Yet to finish the second video but looks like some luck came their way with a cheap engine at least!

Holy crap... it was your car.

I had already watched those videos before you posted. That mechanic is awesome... built his own M113K race car.

I enjoyed the bit where that mad bloke turned up in a dune buggy fitted with a Subaru engine, he had driven it many hundreds of miles there to get the wheel alignment done...then admitted he had once driven it to Southern California before....from Canada !!
