Blowing turbo....

Evening, throwing this one out there as I am not certain where to start.

C320 W203 - The turbo is blowing, not blown, ie....it's blowing air into the engine compartment though most of it does seem to make it to the engine as well. As the turbo spins up it is clearly pushing air out of the system somewhere into the engine compartment which you can clearly hear, and because it pressurises the engine compartment it also forces more air through the cabin vents....hence I know what it's doing. It's clean air too so it's not leaking from the exhaust side of the system so it must be leaking from the air intake side.

Problem is, it's trying to find where it comes from. As I can't spin the turbo up whilst the car is stationary with the bonnet up then how would I be able to check for the leak?

Is there a known fault with these or a common place to look? Are there common failures at some point in the induction system? Are there common seals that need replacing or pipes that clog or split?

I've looked around the pipes as best as I can and I can't see anything that's obvious and no pipes are hanging off.

Any suggestions?

Get someone to rev it while you listen under the bonnet.
