Hi, I have a Blackberry 8900 curve which I am trying to use in my 2003 CLK using a Mercedes Bluetooth HFP cradle (part B67 87 5877) which is fitted in the arm rest. The problem I am having is the caller is getting awful echo. I have found a website www.comandonline.co.uk that suggests the HFP won't work with a pre-2005 car.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Has anyone another solution? I had heard about Viseeo's but they seem to only work with Nokia's - am I right?

Any help gratefully received.....

Is it all calls or is it intermittent?
I say this as when I call T-Mobile mobiles (the same when I was on 3)there is a type of echo, it can be awful.

This is a known problem.

The 2003 CLK is a D2B based car and as such the HFP cradle will cause an echo for the caller. Basically the HFP isnt supported in D2B cars. Yes it works sort of but its not a good experience for the caller.

You would be better off with a Viseeo MB-2 as this does not suffer the same problem.
