Loved his performances in 'The Big Bang Theory' as Professor Proton (Arthur Jeffries PhD). A truly gifted comic performer. Timing, wit, intelligence... Seemed to be a nice guy too. RIP

One of my favourite jokes of his was of telling the tale of an English teacher in a school amidst a very rough area.
During a lesson on English grammar a child was asked what comes after a sentence……….
the reply from said child was “an appeal “
