I am in need of the two aforementioned parts and contacted the stealer. They can obviously supply me with the bits at an excessive cost (to my mind at least) so was looking for alternative suppliers of the products.
Have come across Febi bonnet insulation and Vaico seals which seem to be pretty common and much more reasonably priced (around 50% of that of MB). Prior to taking the plunge, just wanted to know if any one knows who the OEM manufacturer of these bits are? Also should I avoid the above to brands/examples?
MB quoted prices:
A 202 680 00 25 Insulation £106
A 124 780 02 98 Sunroof seal £84.50

Hi. I purchased a new under bonnet insulation from MB Ayr in November I think, circa £75 all in. That's for a C207 E500. Over £100 sounds very expensive.

Abb do you want to try my MB parts contact in Edinburgh for a price? He is normally the cheapest out of all the dealerships I have tried, and parts are shipped to your door via DPD.

Cheers Abs, if you mean Steve J, on this occasion he's coming in more expensive than my local stealer who I normally compare with. WIll just bite the bullet (again lol) and order from the local branch I guess.

Shipping from Edinburgh will probably really bump up the price on such a large item.

No worries Abb, yeh it was Steve :) as Rob says it’s probably the shipping costs that’s causing that. He’s normally the cheapest :D

The last push now Abb and it’ll be done, just don’t add up how much you’ve spent so far :D
