Bonnet warning light

Popped the bonnet today to change my badge and couldn't get the bonnet warning light to go off. Took about 10 good slams to get rid of the warning. Is this a common fault or do I just need some more weetabix. Bonnet was securely shut and the light was on. Still under warranty so not a problem just wondered if it was something simple. Car is a 2009 e350

I wouldn't recommend repeatedly slamming the bonnet! Find the switch and see if it needs a positional adjustment. Is it a plunger type?

its the type that fits in the right hand latch... they do play up..

Just wanted to get the damn light off. Will have a look see if I can find the sensor in daylight. Thanks for replies

First E350 i tried had the same issue! Tried twice and gave up told the guys when i handed the car back! So its not just you mate!
