hi all... somebody help me please.
have a 2011 e220cdi coupe.

engine management light on..
boost pressure fault and gone into limp mode.
it's been to 4 different garages, all spending money which I dont have.
changed both intake pipes. both MAP sensors.
mercedes thinks it's a vacum pressure fault.
they want it for 3hrs +

n/s rear intermittent indicator fault also.
changed rear SAM unit from mercedes.. worked for 2 days and problem is back..

I'm about ready to set fire to bloody thing..£1500 later and both problems not resolved!!!!

Help, Help, Help!!!

STAR is MBs diagnostic tool which will go far deeper than any other third party products. Most good indy's will have one which is why you need to get to one. It sounds like the garages you have been going to are only using third party scanners which don't always tell the whole story on an MB

How did they diagnose the boost pipes? Have you been to a decent Merc independent specialist?
My local one (Loughborough) used a smoke machine to inject an inert smoke/ vapour into the air intake, and leaking pipes will be seen to leak smoke when the car is running / on boost.
Mine did throw an engine management light. But mine was in fact a split boost pipe, but there is a lot of pipe work on these which could cause the issue. A proper Merc STAR diagnosis / code read would certainly help.

Have you a specialist near by?

This is mad! I'm having the exact same problem, EML and indicator fault... started in November 2020 too.... Did you manage to get it fixed?
