I am trying to locate this on my 1998SLK230. I thought it may be in the recirc flap between supercharger and aircleaner but I cant see anything.

I have an ASP larger pulley and from time to time esp when air is cold I get a little blow by from the wastegate flap. Sometimes when this happens the engine drops the supercharger until I restart.

What I am intending to do is to adj the sensor to a slightly higher level (resistor etc) If I can locate it?

do not think that the 230 kompressor engine has a boost valve. it has a supercharger bypass valve located inside the aircleaner box as you said.best check if your actuator is working correctly( i.e there is an electrical test you can carry out at the plug that goes onto actuator) hope this helps

Thanks

yes it is working as I hear it opening at full boost. Something has to give it the signal?

Hi Bazzle,There is a boost pressure sensor attached to the inlet manifold see pic. I'm thinking along the same lines as you. It as three wires, + - and signal. I will at some time get my multimeter out and see what the signal range (voltage) is. I plan then to put a simple voltage diverter circuit into the signal connection to fool the ECU into seeing a lower boost than there is so it hopefully lets the engine take more than the factory ECU allows. I believe the supercharger will give 11psi boost but generally only 6psi is fed to the engine so definately more 'power' to be had.
