Agreed. It's difficult to tell from the photo as it might just be a witness mark from where the brake pad was on the disc when it was parked. Easy enough to tell in the real world, but not possible from that one photo. If thats a crack at about 11 o'clock then its a fail
Thanks for the replies. I've been told that the brakes are new, anything between two weeks and two months, and it's just surface rust. Maybe the fault lies within the photograph.
I haven't bought the car yet,Just change them and fit new pads.
It’s possible that they’ve only been used for 2 months, then parked up outside for a long time? Thanks for the replies. I've been told that the brakes are new, anything between two weeks and two months, and it's just surface rust. Maybe the fault lies within the photograph.
Still a lot of visible grey paint on the discs, so not that old and probably barely used. I'd say at least 2 years old before I'd say 2 weeks or 2 months. Thanks for the replies. The picture of the pads and disc looked properly stuffed up to me ie years old or a very, very hard lifeThat disc certainly doesn't look new or nearly-new to me.
