Hi All,
Anyone recommend brake pads that generates the least amount of dust? Currently on brembos which seem to generate a lot. car is 14 plate E250
Thanks

I have Akebono carbon ceramic on my car , brake dust is almost zero, virtually unseen on my silver wheels.

Disclaimer. I think we should all be choosing brake pads based on their stopping performance rather than lack of dust, but we all know how that goes :D

Some history

I also use the Akebono pads, and next to no dust on silver wheels.

I like brake dust, gives me an excuse to wash the car.
I don’t think my Brembo are noticeably worse than the previous Mercedes pads.

I would recommend Porterfield R4S street pads.
Pricey but great.
You don't want pads eating your brake discs, what you need is rotor friendly pads!
Therefore Porterfield R4S is one of the best after market sport pads with light dust, hardly seen.

I still use my Porterfields front pads for approx 17 years and still haven't whore them out yet! :thumb:

They cost as much as a brake disc

I love these brake threads , everyone through their experience / retail purchase justification is convinced they have the right answer , lol .

Well on a general note of brake dust, all this happened a fair few years ago now I first noticed it on BMW cars but other makes soon followed suit, the car companies found that to get their cars to stop better they had softer pads fitted and so plenty of brake dust.
