I have decided that this long term project of mine was probably not meant to be and so have decided to break it.

The car started as a 1990 300e-24v which then had a Mosselman twin turbo kit fitted. Having grown accustomed to the performance of this set up I found the options for more power slightly limited and so decided to go all in and opt for a
twin turbo 3.6 conversion.

The manifolds from the Mosselman kit were pretty much all that remained in the new set up which contained, amongst other things...

Stripped and rebuilt c36 3.6 with uprated (600 hp) H-beam rods, lightened, knife edged and balanced crank, ported head and Motec M600 ecu. The Motec
was purchased new from Owen Developments and fitted by them, as were the 2 brand new Gt28 Garrett turbos. I also purchased a copper gasket from Turbobandit in Sweden, although this was not used and is still packed.

My plan was to get the car running and then as a work in progress ,up rate any additional components that needed it. The -8 fuel lines, twin bosch pumps and indestructible(?) prop shaft coupling were fitted at the start.

My biggest problem has been that the various companies that have worked on the car since my own very limited mechanical skills ran out have been, almost without exception, execrable !!!:wallbash:

Having finally got the car to a stage where it was running turn key without any apparent problems the route cause of most of the previous issues
decided to reveal itself. The original engine builder had put in a strengthening
plate which was not fitted properly and gradually destroyed the block during
the running in process. Having spent a large sum to have the block sorted it's
still a paperweight and cannot now be used

I do not have the time or inclination to continue with the project and so am
now breaking the car. The car could be fitted with a second hand m104 and run at low boost but that as that was not my original plan... "I'm out"

All the components, should anyone want to put the thing back together would be included in the sale but sorry to report I don't have any pictures of what the engine looked like when it was operational. Pictures "lost" by moron's inc.
number 2.

To recap the list of nice bits...

Engine pic is with the old set up as I don't have any with the 3.6. The Carlsson wheels are sold as is the wood steering wheel. Car now has a Sportline leather one which is much nicer.

Car is in Portsmouth and looks pretty tired at the moment as it's been SORN and sat for a while. It would probably need new wings and a bonnet as morons inc. no 3 broke the original but it's all there. If not it will be parted out.

Not really sure how to price it...I have a huge stack of very big receipts but am also realistic so anyone interested contact me here and we can chat.

Thanks for the PM's of commiseration and the enquiries. In answer to some of the questions...Interior is pale grey and the drivers bolster which was slightly worn, was renewed with original Mercedes perforated leather as per the original.

Car was fitted with a fuel rail and Bosch 720 injectors, new from Owen Developments and the gearbox is the c36 item rebuilt with additional clutch packs.

As the car has reached it's final resting place I would prefer it to go as one lump but it will be parted if that's not going to happen. Any offers etc will be dealt with in the order they were received.

Thank you.
