A couple a weekends ago we did a classic car run from brooklands to brighton in the wifes 350 sl, it was organised by greenwood promotions and it really was a great weekend, Sir Stirling Moss was there to flag us all off at the start (outside Mercedes Benz world) andwe followed a route map through some lovely countryside, stopping for lunch at the bluebell steam railway, te finish was on angel drive wher we arrived to lots of onlookers and cars,the promoters had arranged hotels at start and finish for those wanting to make weekend of it, both with excelent safe parking. There were hundreds of cars on the run with a good number of mercs. If you enjoy driving your car this really is a great alternative to the park up and hang around idea of a car show. We shall definately be doing it again next year and if anyone else is interested keep your eye out in the classic car mags or check out the promoters website.
