Build quality.

I agree with this. My parents have had about 5 Lexus now. Currently on a 2013 IS300h and a 2016 RX450h. They are honestly built like a tank, all of them. From fitting a few dashcams in them everything is so tight and padded so well.

It's interesting. I travelled a lot prior to pandemic and would be a regular user of Uber. I got into a 2010(ish) LS460 and was quite disappointed. It had that hollow clunk that I would hear often from Camry's and Accords when they went over bumps. I don't think that the fit and finish was close to my 2005 S55, and the W220 is supposed to have crappy build quality for an S class.

The LS460 you mention actually came out in 2006 though. That was the era before Lexus completely changed their lineup in 2012 after the CEO decided to make some radical changes. Im talking more about the modern ones. The build quality on them is exceptional. For example my mum has an IS300h. It hasnt got a single rattle or squeak despite being nearly 8 years old which I find quite impressive considering even my W205 has rattles, some of which Ive fixed myself.

Newbie, so this is my first message, are all AMG a35’s badly built or is it just mine, I had a 1977 Datsun that was better built, Mercedes interior rattles from everywhere, a pillars, b pillars, doors and tailgate and now the engine management light is on, been in twice to dealer for rattles and they can never hear them, last time they had the car for 5 days, and I asked what trim panels they removed and then refitted and was told none, so failed to fix, now rattles worse than ever and now hearing new noises, my car was built in Finland, and if I’m honest the only good thing to come from there is the sauna.
Hi , Saab use to build cars Finland and to the best of my knowledge certain Porsche models are built in that country to this day.I would have thought that your car would be what I would call a flagship model and should have no signs of problems you have. The Mercedes slogan "The best or nothing" and in your case falls really short of the mark.

If you purchased the car from MB speak to the dealer principle of your dealer or find another dealer.

Can I suggest you go and test drive another A class and see what that is like.

My A35 is back at the dealer again, went in last Wednesday for tyres and an engine management fault and I told them to find all the rattles in it and cure them once and for all, they offered me another A class as a courtesy car, which I refused and I demanded a C class, got a C class saloon and the build quality on it is fantastic, no rattles whatsoever, will see what mine’s like when I get it back and if it’s still rattling I will contact dealer to see about a swap for a different model, and at no or very little cost to myself, and then they could sell the A35 to someone else who would think that it was great, I must just be extremely fussy and strive for perfection.
Sorry to hear about your problem my brother and his friend both have a35 not a problem with them and not a single rattle

Last time my A35 was in with the dealer I did get another A35 as my courtesy car, on standard 18 inch alloys, mines on the 19s and on the smaller wheels the car was totally different, still had an occasional noise but I would have been able to live with it, got mine back after a week, still rattling, even on smooth road surfaces, creaks when I turn left or right and also when accelerating hard and when braking hard, you would think the car is tearing itself apart, but I’m about to get rid of it as I’ve put a deposit on an E350 coupe which I should get this month, hopefully it’ll be so much better.
