No worries keep us posted. One other thought, these can suffer with failed engine and gear box mounts, which leads to harsh vibration, could be mis diagnosed as rough idle. Might not be that bit worth keeping in mind.

Funny you say that Tony I was thinking about that might be a problem as they is a harsh vibration when turning the wheel at stand still but that could be normal as it's my 1st Merc, I've got a gearbox mount I will do at some point to see if it helps but thanks mate

See how much the engine rocks when revved at standstill.
Turning the steering wheel will load the engine a little, much more at the extremes.
