C Class AMG 2014-2017,

Do current owners of these particular cars give any problems with the lowered ground clearance ?

I had a 2.6 I90 in the past with AMG body kit & accompanying lowered suspension (Provided by MB Nottingham)

It was fine on normal road surfaces but had to be treated with utmost care at all other times.

There are generally two variants, a Classic or Executive with softer suspension and a higher ride, and a Sport or AMG Line with bugger wheels, stiffer suspension, and lower ride.

Hope this helps.

I was certainly unaware of that, most helpful thank you

Any owners with one of these:- C Class AMG 2014-2017, cars ???

I've got c class estate 2017 AMG line and so far I'm very pleased with the ride quality and suspension. I've got 18 inch wheels and don't think the ground clearance is much of a problem. I've been down a couple of country lanes (nothing you'd a 4x4 for) and ground clearance was not a problem.

Thank very much,

How do you find the gearbox, some critics suggest its too busy, constantly switching gear ?

Yep, after more than six and half years with my C43, I still hate speed bumps, humps, and whatever they put in the roads as no matter what speed I go over them
the bottom of the car still scrapes the top of them and my butt takes the pain (and my wallet as well). The potholes are also a killer. I'm seriously considering going
Uber but the only thing holding me back is it's the really the only place I can enjoy my music. I got introduced to Jesse Cook and I haven't looked back.

I don't agree with them. I think the gear box is excellent. I also love the paddle option for times like overtaking.

2018 AMG line A205. 9G box is fine, can get undecided on rare occasions but is smooth and refined with the flappy paddles a practical bonus. Ride height is lower than average but adds to the style of the car and no grounding issues with this model of C Class here hth

Ah ! That is very interesting thank you. I don’t want to buy into all that trouble again.

Thank you, info on the gearbox reassuring. I am in Lincs & rural with narrow roads together with an abundance of large farm traffic meaning regular diversions off-road !

I have a C250d AMG line on 30 aspect ratio 19" tyres. I also live in Lincs and have had no issues with clearance.
