Hi,
New to the forum!

I have a 1995 C124 320.
The car start’s immediately, runs for 20 seconds then cuts out. To me it seems obvious that the fuel supply is running out thus causing the stall.

From looking over a few forums it could possibly be the fuel relay, or the oval relay. Does anyone have any idea on where I can purchase these?

Or any ideas on what else could be causing the issue

Thanks in advance for your help

James

Er, Mercedes?

Best to diagnose the real cause before sourcing parts.

Has the engine wiring been replaced? These cars had bio-degradable wiring that degrades on the car. Most cars will have had it replaced but who knows in your case?

HOME | Mysite supplies the wiring looms, I think.

Good hunting.

Dont spend on parts until you get an answer on the forum . First of all when did you have the HT section serviced like plugs distributor cap and rotor plus the ht leads ? do you have the M103 or M104 engine .

Post the part #s you are looking for. I've never heard of an oval relay. What's that?

Pix would help.

Ray what ever,, but still the ht system needs checking out before injection system is looked in to So now - 1)faulty ECT sensor(important for cold starts), 2) old/wrong spark plugs, 3) faulty under coil connectors, 4) fuel pump relay, or 5)major vacuum leak(s).

1) Jump the fuel pump relay and see if it still does that
2) These cars have an insulator under the distributor rotor, remove and inspect for cracks
3) Get back to us after you looked at 1 and 2

No distributor on this M104 engine.

But, as Opti says, HT components should be 1st rate.

I think that coil on plug came later but I could be wrong. This was still the era of the wiring harness issues

Doesn't really matter since thw OP has vanished.
