C200 Cdi non start

Hi everyone.

My friends C200 cdi won't start, they were driving it and all of a sudden it cut out but after 10 mins it restarted lucky and now it's a home it won't start. I'm a tech but Peugeot trained ( I know it's bad). Apparently engine light came on but I don't have the laptop to plug on.

I'm thinking more towards the crank sensor?
Would appreciate the help

CPS is good place to start if no diagnose devices. Next would be ensure that fuel pressure and delivery is ok (is tank at least 17" full? - if it is W203, search saddle tank syndrome)

Thank you for the reply, I don't know how much fuel is in there but I will be having another look tomorrow with a diag tool.
Do you Have the location on the crank sensor as I have one ready to fit.

You'll find the crank sensor on the passenger side rear over the bell housing of the gearbox.

Cam sensor can also cause this, as above check there is fuel present, ideally needs to be
plugged into a machine.
