What i fool i am - had my foot part way out of the door and the door closed onto my foot breaking speaker grill . Jeez is this a common occurence it wasn't as though door was being forced or in a windy situation it was pretty gentle . Do i have to bodge a repair of some sort or is speaker grill replaceable seperately ? I suspect new door card and if thats the case it may fall to option one.

screw at the bottom of the grill and it will unclip out.

ive seen alot cracked or broken in the w202s in the past , but easily replacable

Best get round to dronsfields then see if they are available - Cant imagine what they would cost from MB but may ask.

Went to Dronsfields and the chap in Yard pulled a speaker cover off a C class w202 and gave it me FOC would you believe got it home took the broken one off and tried to refit new one and couldnt believe my eyes - its too small - Wonder if it has to be off the last version before going to w203. On my way to Dronsfields spotted another Merc place on the same site Prestige independant - looks very similar to dronsfields set up with service and a breaker yard combined . 2 places within a couple of miles of me . Lets hope i dont need visit too often . I asked about giving car a full service as mine was last done a couple of years ago . Dronsfields said it needs a B service at £295 i asked about changing Auto box fluid and that was £150 what do you think ? I thought i would get a full service and Auto fluid changed for circa £300.http://www.prestigeallparts.co.uk/about-us.aspx just did a search and this is the place near Dronsfields .Anybody had any dealings ?

Prices are probably about right , provided the job is being done correctly .

I'm not from your part of the world , but also try 124 Works in Kirkham - I guess you aren't too far from them ?
