Hi, first post to forum and would appreciate any help. The car starts from cold with white smoke from the exhaust which clears soon after. On a run and when warm it will smoke generally at junctions and when pulling away. Noticed the fuel consumption at tick-over is around 17mpg but am sure it used to be nearer 27mpg. The car is a 2001 and I have owned it for 6 years, mileage is 51,000. Had it scanned and it showed a fault with the air flow meter which was replaced. On a drive after it seemed perfect but then after 5 miles it started again. The smell from the exhaust is different. Never had any water or oil loss and no overheating. Help needed Chris b.

Hello! It's strange. My C200 kompressor done that (but was a "small smoke") and the problem was the head gasket. Gasket change and VOILA!!! All my problem went away!!! Idle; consuption; tremblig and so on... Chek the reservoir and see if theres is any "mik-shake" color. On mine start there. The iol was perfect.
