C207 seat belt buckle fault?

The airbag light came on in my 2012 E class coupe, I got the car scanned and it was a code for the driver's side belt buckle. I have since replaced the buckle with a second hand part but still have the airbag light on, do I need to get the buckle coded? Or does something need reset as I had to unplug the seat to remove it.

You need to reset the SRS error with a Scan Tool of some kind.

Does it need to be a specific dealer scan tool or is there one that you would recommend?

An IcarSoft MB II will work, but most local garages will do it for +-£30.
