Hello guys

could someone please tell me which is the better a remap or tuning box..

if tuning box which box is probably recommended

and

if remap any advice on company near to manchester please..!

thanks all

DTUK 3 channel tuning box. I have one on my 2016 C220 Coupe - its fantastic

Andrew Pawley is the owner at DTUK - give him a call

Not a fan of boxes as they basically feed false sensor info to the ECU.

The flipside is that they can be removed for mot/service time.

You should be able to get a decent mobile remap for around £250. MKW will take my 646 from 170bhp 400nm to 190bhp 460nm for £250. On the 646 it is a 4 hour ecu out of the car job.

Yes i just been quoted 299 by a company he said same ecu out job....

I've had quotes of ...

£200, £465 and £660

tdi tuning there boxes will take your c220 to 220 bhp mate its a £350 with 7 settings so u can have performance or eco

my mates mate does mobile remaps and has quoted me £200 get bout 215bhp

i have a w204 c220 c63 replica had it 3 weeks lovely

I wouldn't let a tuning box anywhere near mine, give MSL a call and get yourself a proper remap

my mate said the same but these new boxes apparently are really good

my bro in law has one on his a7 n sent me a pic of him doing 70mpg at 88mph lol

im getting a remap for mine though

Stay clear of tuning boxes and spend a little more on a good remap.
Try bluefin remaps can buy online and are really good.

I don't think the car will take a obd remap its a ecu affair so i have been told....

Heard a lot of these eBay type boxs actually doing nothing or causing damage to cars.

Seeing as this needs to be once properly, may as well drive 2 hours down to MSL and know your getting the job done correctly the first time and your car is in good hands

I mean we are all enthusiasts arnt we, gotta love a motorway cruise in your merc ;)

Always try and get hold of a brabus tuning box via ebay, sold via Mercedes main dealers and ups the bhp from 170 to 217 and torque from 400 to 460nm and unlike a remap can be removed when the time comes to sell the car recouping some of your outlay

Get yourself a good remap. I had my w204 c220 cdi amg aport remapped by DMS to 241 bhp. Expensive but worth every penny - it will depend on whether you have the bi turbo or single turbo version
