C220d MAF Error

MAF error

EML light came on.

Had error read via Star -
Error P0101

Replaced MAF

Reset error via Star.... a few miles later the EML light is again on with the same error code.

Reset again, after a few miles error popped back up.

How can I further trouble shoot this?

air flow isn't right so computer says no, could be airfilter , cracked incorrectly fitting pipes, egr valve sticking or coked up, I would have a quick look at egr inlet if you can and filter as quickest and easiest then go from there, believe from what ive read that blocked cat can cause airflow faults, take it that the replacement maf was new and good brand?
