Hi Guys,
I am going to view a 1999 T C230K Sport tommorrow. I just wanted to know what I need to look out for to identify whether it is a facelift model or not?

Elcode entry key in the dashboard rather than a "key" key!

Easiest test for a facelift W202 sport - the dash will have Ivory dials...

But as R2 says the clincher would be the DAS security key system. The boot should open remotely from the key, great for frightening passers by in the supermarket car park :p

Do the boot thing all the time and either get some funny faces or some very pleasant comments!

My easy facelift spotter is the aerial. If it has a "traditional" aerial on the rear wing its pre facelift, If it has no aerial on the rear wing but the aerial built into the rear screen its a facelift. You will see 2 lines running down the rear screen, which is the aerial.

Err, if it's a 1999 T it WILL be a facelift!
It's billed as that, I'm guessing that hbhudia wants to know what signs to look out for to put his mind at rest.

Just out of curiosity though what would be a good price to buy this spec model?

Mercedes C Class
C230K 4Dr Saloon 2.3 Sport 5spd Auto (1999/T)

Price New: £28,650
Insurance Group: 15

Car valuation adjusted for 28,000 miles
Retail: £9,650

Private Good: £8,510
Private Average: £7,490
Private Poor: £6,190
Part Exchange: £7,930
Trade: £7,638

A fairly high spec example with very low miles. Nice find.

Folding mirros and a sunroof are not common at all.

Does it have a rain sensor and xenons too?

Great choice of year, model and colour :D

Would love to see some pictures.

I am not too sure about the rain sensors, though I think it does. It does not have xenons.

The current spec is the same as the VIN check so it all appears to be factory original.

Guys, I will get pictures up soon, but will not be getting the car till probably next saturday.

The interior of the car was spotless and I mean spotless!!! However I canot say the same about the bodywork. There are about 2 dings on the front passenger door (very close to each other), one of the rear passenger side, one on the driver door and one on the boot lid but is not very obvious.

The paintwork is pretty good, with light scratches (which I hope can be removed!!) and a little scuff on the rear bumper.

The car has only been driven 5000 miles in the past year since its last service.

Dont know, ring him and see, if not its not that far to meet him. He is a perfectionist so its worth the bother of getting to see him.
