C230 Kompressor trackday car, E55K on the road, Cosworth in storage (pension)
Something a bit different, something to rival the 3 series that plague the track, something no one else really has when out on track.
My C230 Kompressor is done on a budget. Car was £600, with 167k on the clock came with CL500 front Brakes and sitting on lower Diesel spring.
since ive owned her now she has been stripped and has seat and harness, larger crank pulley to allow the super charger to spin faster, CL500 18 inch wheel and new Yokoharma track day Tryes.
Its been lowered further with the wheel arches cut out and metal trailer arches welded in. With all the mods including a Re map and even the meshes removed from air mass and under the throttle body it should be about 230 bhp.
Shes old and rough around the edges like any 1998 C class but gives a lot of more expensive stuff a run for there money and I love it
Long live my Bullet Proof Budget Kompressor.
ANY MORE TUNING ADVICE WOULD BE GREATFULLY RECIEVED............REMEMBER THOUGH..BUDGET!

Charge cooler? On the track you're likely to be running at higher boost for longer, so it might be worth upgrading the intercooler (unless you know that to not be a problem).

Strut braces? (Or even a cage).

Would stiffer or even adjustable anti roll bars be beneficial? Even with lower and presumably stiffer springs, the 203 will still be a car built for comfort rather then speed. My sadly demised one did tend to lean and lurch around corners from what I remember, although that could well have been the fault of the big nut behind the wheel.

Even polybushing will take some of the slack out of the suspension and tighten the handling up (and costs less than replacement ARBs).

So it has a larger intercooler fitted which I think helps.
ill get photos up later today or at weekend.
Defo think a set of Polly bushes will help.
Have a track day booked at brands for next Monday. I have previously not been able to lap faster than 1.01 so with pulley and new intercooler pipes I think I could be there or there abouts.
Matt
