Im fancying an estate up to £10k and have always liked the C Class, im just doing the research now on what would be best for me.
In the real world is it worth going for the 350 over the 250?
Im not against a petrol i just find the engine choices a bit uninspiring, i suppose the 200 Bhp ish petrol would be the one to consider.
I do about 7500 miles a year, mixture of journeys, reasonable fuel and tax costs are preferred as we have 3 cars in total.
I always fancied a Bmw 330d but the prices seem silly for them and the later cars do have engine issues.
The subframe issues are a concern on the Merc, i know they are part of a recall but its still a pain to have to get it done.
Thank you.

If it were me, I'd be avoiding a diesel, or specifically anything with the AdBlue stuff attached.
I ran a 2013 C180 petrol wagon for 5 years and whilst it wouldn't set fire to the tarmac, it never felt out of it's depth performance wise in everyday situations, was quiet, comfy and returned over 40mpg without needing to drive like my Gran. Rear subframe was still OK according to my trusted garage when I sold it and bought my F31 Beemer.
BTW, the subframes are not actually subject to an official recall - MB seem to be replacing them on a case by case basis.
Good luck with your search - let us know how you get on.

Out of interest how do you find the BMW?

Out of interest how do you find the BMW? Lovin' it ! 330i B48 motor. Only a 4 pot so doesn't sound as good as the B58 engined cars, but 250 Neddies is enough to make it go when necessary. ZF8 gearbox is the standout feature for me. Rides ok on MSport suspension and 19s, although I'm doing my best to wear out the Bridgestone run flats to put some proper tyres on it. Oh, and 45mpg on a decent length run. Edit...... Just waiting to have my MBClub membership card cancelled
😁
