c270 audio fault

Hi everyone this is my first post I have a c270 estate and have owned it for about 6 weeks this evening the radio and cd went blank (no power) and displayed "audio ---- " in the dash instead of the radio station or track number. can anyone shed some light on this is it a simple one or ???? thanks in advance
