hi Everyone,

I have a w203 2005 C270, has done 60k on the clock, bought it a few weeks ago. Firstly in the mornings, it takes forever to warm up, which i can live with i guess. But the problem is, when i turn on the blower heater, and turn all the dials to max (i.e 30c), and turn the other dial to blow air to the front windscreen no air if any comes out - hot or cold. Auto is off, A/c is off.

I turned the dials to the other settings and warm/hot air was coming out, but not to the screen. So i drove it to the dealers, with it still exibiting the same problem, and the engineer rushed out to try it, he twiddled the dial alittle to the other settings and after a few moments it began to blow out hot air to the window. His explanation was that the blower might have intermintantly problems and nothing can be done under warranty. Do others have this issue with the heater controls?

thanks

Do the following to re set all of the flaps etc

203

To reset heater flaps and actuators

Switch on ignition.

Press recirculated air and defrost buttons on control panel together for longer than 5 seconds.

The LED's in the defrost and recirculated air buttons flash alternately.

Wait until the LED's stop flashing (approx 30 sec) system set to defrost LED on.

Switch off ignition.

After 40 sec re start engine.

Hi There . Is the reset the same for 2001 w210 with climate ? On my e55 the AC is charged with gas had it checked yesterday and the clutch is cutting in but the air is not getting cold , it sounds like the cold air is trying to get through , as the woosh of air sounds different when you turn the AC on as if there is a restriction ? . a reset may help ?

Kind Regards Humbley
