How hard is the standard ride on 17" wheels? Driving over the usual potholes etc what is it like?

Its not hard at all.
Very comfy, and no spine jaring when going over a pot hole.
Much softer than alot of other German makes:rolleyes:

Down side to that is the fact they will out handle you on the bends, but then the straights:D

As Dazzler says, it's not even slightly 'hard' IMHO, and so is good everyday transport.

Fits with the feel of previous generation of AMGs hot rods rather than track cars.

I can confirm that the ride in an A150 SE on steel wheels is firmer, having driven one over the last few days!!

Totally agreed. Even thought the ride is sporty, its not hard. I'm not a small lad in hieght and statcher and I recently did a 300 mile drive. B roads (the lakes and back). No aches and pains afterwards.
