How are others finding the C350 CDI fuel consumption? 10K miles covered & round town I'm getting 22mpg On a run/urban 33mpg..... motorway 38mpg

This is nowhere near as good as my previous BMW 335d M Sport.

Fuel economy doesn't bother me as I stick it through the company. It's just a pet hate I've developed. I really thought the 350 CDI engine would be more fuel efficient than it's proving to be.

Your car is new, it will bed in and return better MPG in time.

True...... by which time my contract will be up & I'll have to get a new one again. :D

lol, thats why I like 2nd hand motors, all nicely ran in ready to be trashed!!!

Agree...... I wanted a 2nd hand C Class, but the deal subsidised back in March by MB Finance worked out cheaper for a new car! unbelievable.

This was a 70MPH run around the south of the M25 a month or so ago. But generally mid 30's on my 20 mile commute.

That's good going I suppose. I've been getting 19.1 mpg around town today. Not what MB claim in the brochure.

Over 18000 miles it probably works out at an extra 300 quid .... which is neither here nor there over 3 years

It was at 47MPG until I came off the motorway and hit the 7 miles of country lanes to get home. It was a really clear mid afternoon run for once so no brakes or heavy accelerating (basically drove like an old fart).

Remember its cold and youre running on winter diesel. Both of those will slash your MPG. MY car is down about at least 4mpg on the cold weather and winter diesel in the town.

Mine is down a little, but my 220cdi was down a lot more in winter and this car is more economical than my last one in winter.

It might be because its a lower compression ratio than the 220cdi so less influenced by the winter derv.

Anyway, you can see the car tomorrow.

True........... I love the car & I'm not that bothered about it. I notice it more as the wife has a 118d 3 Series which gets over 60mpg on a run!!! unbelievable. Just ordered her a 118d M Sport as the economy is very impressive.

I'm NOT letting my wife read this.........
