Sooooo, as anyone experienced any hybrid battery problem's on the C350e, just that the car I might be getting is covered on warranty for 17 months/12,803 miles (registered April 2016) seen that a couple people have had a bit of guff with the diesel models.
Kind of making me wonder if it's the right move

There’s an entire EV/hybrid specific section for these, so I’ll request the mods to move this thread over there...

But meanwhile, the HV battery and “power electronics” have a 6 year or 63k mile warranty on them, which is something I suppose.

The C300e had a much smaller HV battery then the C350e and it was quite a different setup too. I believe it has more in common with the early S class hybrid system.

Despite the fact I bought one new in 2016, I would hesitate to recommend one. That said, if you but at the right price, why not, it goes well!

Just bought MB 2yr extended warranty for £700 zero excess for my C350e 66 plate 48k and there is no mileage cap on HV battery. The key points are that the max mileage at start of policy is 120k and will stop once car is 10years old.

@JOSEPHPAUL That is really useful information. Were there any further conditions attached to the purchase of that warranty? For example, do you need to have a full MB main dealer service history to avail of it?

You can use any MB approved repairer who can then upload the Digital service report on MB website.

’ve only owned my C350e 66 plate 48K miles for 1year and just done 4K miles,my question is there anyone who has owned this car for many years and done plus 60,80,100K miles and what their overall experiences have been?

is it normal for the Hybrid battery to discharge quickly when driving around on local streets, when i go further and faster, it seems to last a lot longer, Have bought a EV wall charger , just need to fit it into the consumer unit so that i can charge it every day, to see if that makes a difference to teh battery and the charge it holds. Will be installing a 7KW wall charger.

Hi @dasachmo
Have you sorted out the gearbox issue? If yes, what was the problem?

An old message but aren't the models mixed up. There was a C300h hybrid with a small battery (no plugin hybrid), then there was a C350e plugin hybrid obviously with a larger HV battery. The C300e came later with almost twice the HV battery capacity compared to the previous C350e.

sorry mate, still no
im waiting for them to actually service my car.
handed it in for a service B to be told everythings fine. I asked them to check the gearbox and then at the end they said you have to give it another time for a couple of days for the 'master' engineer to check it out
they called me two weeks later to say they didnt have the spark plugs in stock but theyve arrived now so i have to give it back in to do that as they missed it on the service B last month. Great start

Does anyone know how much MB will charge to replace the Hybrid battery as my C350e is fast approaching 63k and 6years,it’s also now only giving me 6miles after saying 100% fully charged?

I don't know, but a quick search shows that second-hand C350e Hybrid batteries are going on eBay for between £1,100 to £1,800, if this helps.

Thanks though a brand new battery supplied and fitted by MB/approved repairer (with guarantee ) is what I’m looking for.

Is that 6 miles the range showing on the screen or real world range MercPassion?

Oh my my that’s just shocking £8k-£10k! I guess wise thing is to sell it fast before it gets to 63k miles/6years and buy C220d or GLC?

I think that your original request for a "brand new battery supplied and fitted by MB/approved repairer" is the issue here...

If you had an engine or transmission failure you wouldn't fork out £8k to MB for a new one, instead you'd get a specialist to fit a second hand or a reconditioned unit.

I think you should apply the same to the battery. Second hand once cost well under £2k, and with a specialist fitting it the overall cost should be well under £3k.
