Hey guys,

I was hoping any of you could give me advice on a recent fault my car has developed.

I have noticed when the car is about to change to petrol from electric whilst accelerating, the car jerks.

It tends to happen on lower gears only (1-2).

When I'm driving on complete petrol (charge mode) the jerking doesn't happen.

I do remember recently the car petrol was quite low and I drove it to the petrol station. The car had automatically gone into e-mode only due to low fuel. I don't know if this had any cause to it?

Thank you so much!

Check if your car has had a transmission firmware update? Apparently there is an update for earlier C300h, mine was manufactured in 2016 and I received a firmware update when I purchased the car from MB as an approved used car. It received another transmission firmware update in December 2019.

Would you be able to guide me on how to check for this update?

Look through your service records to see if there are any software updates recorded. If you do not have the service records, you speak to your local MB dealership to get the past service records printed out. They may ask you for proof of ownership of the car. So best to bring your registration document with you.

Hey guys,

My local MB service centre is asking for a £120 investigation fee. Is that normal?

I feel like thays a fair amount to just check?

They tend to charge an hours labour to read the codes.
But I think they take that off again if you have any work done.

I managed to order a OBD2 reader from Amazon and it pushed out the following error codes:

P2266 - water in fuel sensor circuit low
P0128 - Coolant thermostat
P2270 - O2 sensor signal stuck lean bank 1 sensor 2
P2221 - NOx Sensor heater sense circuit bank 2
P2208 - NOx sensor heater sense circuit bank 1

Ultimately I am going to have to take it to the mechanic I am guessing but I wanted all your advice before I do take it!

Any help will be appreciated :)

You need to clear those codes and see what reappears.
If they all come back then ideally you need someone with the Mercedes star system.

Thats fantastic! Thank you, I'll try that tomorrow
