Hi whats the best mobil oil to use for service for my c43 and how much will i need?

Mobil 1 has 2 principal offers - 0W30 and 10W/40 either of which are fine for the C43 (according to the tech spec). I use the 10W/40 which seems to work fine. If you keep an eye open, Halfords have good deals on Mob 1.

It has to meet the MB spec 229.5. Mobil one does 0W40.

Most decent oil companies make a 229.5 oil

0w40 Mobil 1 is the oil for your car really and it has probably been run on it all of its life.

Just to resurrect this thread - my service history shows the car(c43) has been run on 10w40 since 65k (now at 174k) - is it advisable to revert back
To 0w40 on the next service ? Or is this going to cause me pain with leaking seals/gaskets etc?
