C43 AMG w202 estate

I tell you what though, echoing similar words to Roger’s , the W202 is a great looking car.

Especially with AMG aero 3 splits. Looks a good car because of its mix of modern and traditional.

I think they’re cheap cars for what they are. Look at what the W124 E36s do nowadays.. ?? I know they’re much smaller numbers therefore rarer, but, even still…

This car in the listing is the one I was referencing actually when I mentioned they look good with the aero 3s.

I like this one that I’ve attached, it’s a Japanese C36. Popular mod over there for these.

These splits ever come from factory?

They were a special order for the C36, but I believe they went out of production around 1995, so weren't available for the C43. The special order C55 offered the 18" BBS split rim as an option, but they were slightly different to the original OZ design, with a smaller centre and what appeared to be a softer edged spoke.

There have been official batches of the Aero III made since, but they've been produced in fitment more suitable for wide-bodied C/W124, C126 and R129 cars.

To find a good set of genuine OZ split rims in the correct dimensions for a 202 is really difficult!

A green C43 has come up for sale

Looks nice!

Great colour.

The MOT HISTORY is a bit worrying though, seems like there's lots of corrosion in there.

Depends how through the "recent welding" was I suppose, but worth a look! Could prove to be a bargain.

Lovely colour, but a look at the underside would be crucial judging by that MOT history. It could be a real patchwork quilt

Interesting......but not exactly a natural presenter is he !!??

Was coming to post this C36 that was advertised on Facebook retro car for sale £7995. Thought the reg looked familiar ( P686 HMC ).
Sold on Matthewsons recently for £3700 (plus premium I expect). Either a quick flip, or he unwittingly bought a pig in a poke.

Plate does not exist according to the DVLA......

Was just about to post that link in here… Love it; though I’d personally note a thing or two to change.

Big money for THIS ex-Eric Clapton owned C43. I'm assuming it wasn't Eric who fitted a full set of Chinese tyres and the awful back-box 😂. At least the original comes with it though.
