C63 AMG - Retro Fit Performance Pack?

I have a 2013 C63 AMG - standard fit from the Merc dealer. Is it possible to retro fit the performance pack or performance pack plus? If so, is it recommended for Mercedes to do this so as not to impact on the residual?

Ok. This is gonna be a biggie! Exactly what do you want from your c63 that it hasn’t got already? Power? Other? The answer to your question is basically a big NO I’m afraid.

From an earlier thread, the Performance Pack Plus (P31?) includes:

Upgrade to 487bhp
Grey intake manifold
Red callipers
Single piece composite ali/steel rotors
Carbon boot lip
Suede wheel grips
Couple of trim options
LSD not standard. Now cost option.
Performance Suspension an option.

I would be interested in all of the above and also the limited slip differential from the Performance Pack (P30?)...

Ok.
Upgrade to 487bhp = just get yours mapped. It would be cheaper to sell yours and buy a ppp if you want the internals.

Red calipers= get yours sprayed or powder coated

Front disks= you can retro fit but it won’t be cheap and unless your tracking it often I wouldn’t see the point.

Carbon boot lip= plenty of companies out there that do after market ones.

Alcantara steering wheel= can be retro fitted.

Trim options= again retrofit or aftermarket.

LSD was an option on ppp cars and only came standard on pp cars. Again an aftermarket unit can be got at for reasonable money. pp cars only came with stiffer suspension and to be honest it’s bloody uncomfortable on uk roads ( mines a pp ) I’ve now fitted coilovers and it’s transformed it. I would honestly say it would be cheaper to sell yours and buy a ppp car if your serious about wanting all the above.

Thanks. I love my car but now wondering if I should sell and try to find (almost impossible!) a 507 edition 6.3

You’s really have to want to do itIf done with new Mercedes parts (including engine internals), I doubt you would have much change from £15k without considering labour (if you need someone else to do the work).

As suggested, you would be better to sell it and buy a PP/PPP/507 or just perform modifications which address the things which fall short of your expectations, and use aftermarket parts.

Whichever you choose, enjoy it,

If your interested, I have a 507 with all of the above from factory. Hit me up if your interested.

10k miles.

Oh it’s dead easy

- Carbon fibre rear lip spoiler and door mirrors from Carbon crazy on Facebook

- fit the uprated brakes or just paint the calipers red

- remap the car at MSL

- buy and fit facelift pp steering wheel

- buy and fit a grey intake cover

- buy and fit a Quaife/wavetrac LSD

- oh, and then spend absolute thousands to purchase and have installed all the uprated engine internals

- Upgrade to 487bhp (Upgrade to 510bhp with a remap for £400 from Celtic Tuning - cheaper than MSL and essentially the same end result)
- Grey intake manifold (pointless)
- Red callipers (pointless)
- Single piece composite ali/steel rotors (small upgrade but you'll struggle to reach the limits of the standard discs on the road, Brembo do a set that look like the Black Series for £6-700 and are nicer than the PP ones)
- Carbon boot lip (£2-300)
- Suede wheel grips (retrim existing wheel for c.£150)
- Couple of trim options (?)
- LSD not standard. Now cost option. (Automatic Torque Biasing types are arguably better for the road, WaveTrac is £1,600 fitted from Regal Autosport)
- Performance Suspension an option. (I'd have it but don't miss it, going to get a strut brace instead for c.£140 as I've had good results on other cars)

Not sure how true it is. as never been
AMG factory in affalterbach believe have a “performance studio” where customers may wish to customise there vehicles to there desire??
Not sure if that’s an option.
Off course you’ll probably need to have your Amex to hand..

Yes the Performance Studio can do all sorts of aesthetic magic. It’s expensive with a capital F though.

Wasn’t expecting it to be buttons. Probably need a bank loan. (In case the Credit Card declines)
It’s compound effect of the modifications which make it so expensive, in isolation each individual modification isn’t so bad. Years ago, @Palmball (a member here) had the dashboard in his C63 re-trimmed in two tone leather (IIRC) and it was regarded at the time as being good value, so maybe £1.5-£2.0k (from memory). However to do a full interior retrim, there’s lots of optional bits which add up to make a full interior retrim in a custom colour, and that was £40k a couple of years ago.

Guess as they say, If you’ve got the money, Nothing is impossible...

Bit of an out there idea....see if you can find a PPP car that has been written off then do an engine transplant and add a Quaife LSD...job done! ;)

To do this using new parts from Mercedes then the cost would out weigh the benefits.

If you have ever had dealings with the main dealers you will know nothing is cheap.

There are plenty of 507 cars for sale but you are looking at high 30’s.

How long have you had your current car?

I would get it mapped, callipers painted, exhaust mod and maybe a few discreet touches such as coloured badges in grey or black.

If you are set on your list of bits then sell it and buy a one with the correct spec.
