So rather than buying a drift car for the odd drift days (max four/five days a year around a go cart track) and a daily, i am thinking of getting a c63 205 to do it all. Now i have spotted a good priced c63 but realise the S has a e-diff rather than a mechanical diff in the standard model. Is the standard mechanical one lsd, or would the e-dif be much better as i read they use it in the amg gt as well?

Any advice would be much appreciated

The eDiff is a sophisticated lsd that takes driver input into account as well as traction control etc. So its great for aggressive driving and in conditions where your wheels might slip. It allows for drifting as well.

Thanks for the reply, i’m sure the exid is a amzomg but has anyone got a standard (non s) model and used it a bit for drifting? Or does anyone know if the standard dif in the car a lsd? A colleague used to have a w204 c63 and with a normal dif and it kept on spinning up the inside wheel- something i’d like to avoid.

Non S w205 C63 has old fashioned LSD as standard. S model gets the fancy electronic diff.
