I am currently on cable for my internet connection and have often wondered if it is possible to watch TV on the PC via tha cable connection? Any suggestions or do I need some extra gear?
I have my Sky Sat Pumped into my PC via WINTV card, no probs. I'm not sure you can do the same with cable??? Does your Cable box have a secondary output?
Having Just read some cable sites, it looks like your internet connection runs seperate from your TV. They can provide internet on your TV but not the other way round by the looks of it.
Does the cable box have an RF-out on it? If it multiplexes the cable feed onto the RF coax cable you could tune into whatever frequency it's output on. This is designed for plugging into a non-scart TV or a VCR etc, but it would also go into your tv-tuner card. You would only be able to watch the same channel on both devices of course.
If its a video sender thing I got one from tescos think it was about £30. Got it hooked up to the TV downstairs on the freeview box. Picture was always poor upstairs on the portable aerial. Now picture and sound are superb. Only think I have to do is remeber to take the remote for the digi box upstairs.
