Looks like a nice GTG.

Nice photo's and nice to put some faces to names.

Nice bit of marketing by our very own Spud (MarisPipers) too. ;) :D

Its been a good club meeting, nice to have a chance to meet the 'real people' in this club. Brill photos Karl, thanx. And dont blame me for the 'marketing', not that i mind of course ! Landlord of the Bridge was quizzing me about the cost of doing a Burns Night

Great meeting, good to put some faces to the names:thumb:...........and the weather was DRY!!:)..................but tipped it down on the way home:(

Great afternoon. Good food, good company and great cars. But then that's what it's about.
Thanks John for sorting it out, very good to meet like minded "sad" people.

Thanks to Karl for the pics.
At least I can prove to SWMBO that I really went to meet other Merc Men.

Yes,it rained all the way home for me,quite hard at times,we were very lucky today. Must be true that old saying 'The sun shines on the righteous' ahem !

Just got home from the extended shopping trip to Ely :ban:

Great meet guys. And very nice to see you all. Nice lunch too :thumb:

Thanks to Karl for the original idea, the choice of venue, and for the excellent photos :)

And thanks to John for putting it all together :bannana:

Let's all endeavour to arrange another 'local' one maybe in the spring (when Nick's gorgeous 500SL is out from its winter hibernation!).

Regards,

Alex

Nice pictures, but in desperate need of compression! 500-600 kb for each one is way too big, they could be 100 kb each with no visible loss of quality. Look under 'compression factor' or 'quality factor' or similar when saving the jpgs.

You still on 56k? ;)

Yes good to see everyone, once I got into London, past the North Circular it then took forever to get home, got home at about 6.30pm, traffic everywhere! It was worth the drive up there, looking forward to doing it again!

Seeing the pics is making me miss my SL500, hibernating this winter! Glad the weather held off for you.

No, but some people do have slower connections and there is simply no reason to put up over-sized image files.

As posted (602 kb)

Compressed to 135 kb (I could probably have gone lower, using the original full size image)

Not much difference, visually.

I haven't even got the hard top on mine yet!

Right, that's that one done & dusted, now on to the next

:bannana: SHERWOOD FOREST GTG SUNDAY December 13th 12 noon :bannana:
ALL WELCOME

Me neither Bill. It's still hanging from this thing, perched menacingly over the car, parked underneath in the garage!

Blimey that's a serious bit of kit! I use Mrs BTB instead :D

I tried the same ploy myself, but Mrs MD doesn't like spending long periods of time in the garage by herself - especially in winter!!!

Great pics and looks like you all had a good meet. Unfortunately it wasn't to be for me - another bout of germs for the little one meant I wasn't really able to duck out for most of the day.

I washed the car too...

Ian.
