Hi All,

Just doing some family history work at the moment, and am scanning in old slides for the old folks. I have come across this car, and have no idea what it is apart from a comment "1948/1949 Jag".

Anyone know what it is?

Thanks all! Another one identified - and probably more to go.

Now that I am seeing the pics, I am quite annoyed with my old man for not saving any of these cool cars for me. Racing cars, E Types, Willys Jeeps, you name it!

And I believe thats a South Australia plate on it?

:)

(Thinks - Or is it NSW?)

was that your first car ? :D

I bought it in '97 as a wreck but every part was there and have just got it on the road two weeks ago. Did it all myself and it goes like a Japanese train and what better weather to have a convertible :)
I haven't driven the MB for two weeks, the MB is everything the Jag isn't handles perfectly has aircon is very respectable, the E is something else, drinks fuel like you wouldn't believe is loud and when it hits 3000 rpm sound like concord on the final take off :bannana:
For the full story if anyone has time take a look at www.xkedata.com and enter 876160 in the search, the whole photo story is there.
For all the help and support you will ever need the jag-lovers E-type forum is the best there is anywhere.
Bit like MBclubUk really
